Job Description

Title: Account Supervisor

 

Reports to: Account Director (or Group Account Director if Account Director role not applicable)

 

Position Summary: Mid-level account management position for marketing professionals interested in long-term career growth in client service.

 

Primary Responsibilities: Direct accountability for account team performance

 

Secondary Responsibilities: Further develop strategic and client leadership skills

 

 


Contribution to Insights and Ideas

  • Conducts topic research to support insight(s)/concept(s)
  • Mines for insights to support strategy
  • Leads brainstorms
  • Evaluates strategy/concept against brief
  • Authors concepts
  • Manages client brand, customers, properties and works to identify industry innovations and trends
  • Contributes relevant ideas to strategy(s)/concept(s)
  • Drafts briefs, decks and program case studies

  • Manages client trust/partnership by managing daily interaction/expectations
  • Ensures appropriate follow up and communication
  • Manages client/agency balance

  • Managing internal and client execution/workflow

  • Evaluates program executional guidelines/requirements against the work
  • Manages 360 activation management

 

Fiscal Accountability

·         Managing project/business financials

o       Ensure accurate estimates

o       Manage overages

o       Manage project job summary reports

o       Ensure internal approvals

o       Generate purchase orders

o       Approve invoices

·         Manage fiscal procedures (estimates, purchase orders, invoices, advanced checks and vendor set up, project job summaries)

·         Manage client fiscal procedures and requirements (ie contacts, purchase order requirements, accrual processes)

·         Maintain client stewardship reports and provide analysis

·         Manage business guidelines (retained vs. non-retained, client set up and structure)

·         Identifies opportunities to grow agency revenue

·         Understands retainer fees
