Job Title: Sales Director, Online Marketing Solutions
Reports To: Vice President
Location: Southern or Northern California
This is an exciting, intellectually challenging opportunity for a marketing consultant or analyst who has a passion and skill for business development. As a Sales Director within the Media practice, you will sell advertising effectiveness research products to help clients resolve pressing business issues while helping drive growth and industry leadership.
The Sales Director will support the company's goals through a range of consulting, analytic and business development functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading solutions work within the Media vertical including selling unique analyses and research services to Advertising Network clients and prospects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Build client relationships and drive sales of custom solutions, including advertising effectiveness products and technology solutions, per a specified quota within a defined geographic territory
· Develop a set of key Advertising Network accounts by forging solid, strategic relationships with key decision makers at all levels within targeted accounts
· Uncover and understand the business needs of our clients and the Ad Network industry overall; address these through business analysis, technology solutions, recommendations and ongoing consultation based on unique information and technology services with an ability to assess markets, customers, competitors and prospects
· Contribute to the design development of new analytical, technological and consulting capabilities
· Communicate client business objectives to client service, product marketing and internal teams
· Inform product management of trends in client and industry requirements for the purpose of guiding technology solutions and product management strategy
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of bachelor's degree and 5-7 years professional experience, or advanced degree with 4-5 years' professional experience
· A highly aggressive sales professional with a proven track record of success overachieving quotas
· Recent and direct experience working for a leading Internet publisher or Advertising Network in sales or sales support capacity
· Understanding of market research and how information can be applied to help clients to achieve their goals
· A highly intellectual individual who combines analytical excellence, understanding of the Internet advertising ecosystem, current technologies, razor-sharp communication skills and an ability to build outstanding client relationships
· A relentless work ethic and a desire to go the extra mile
· Established contacts and relationships within the Internet publishing or Advertising Network industry
· A proven track record of success in business development and strategic account development
· A desire to aggressively further business in an innovative, fast-paced and winning company
· Flexibility and ability to work fast under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements
· Must be fluent in all Microsoft Office applications as well as Salesforce preferred
