Job Description
One of the world's most popular media players is looking for a passionate developer to help develop and evolve the media player for Android phones and tablets.
This is your chance to plan an integral role in the development of innovative applications at one of the nation’s top companies. As a member of the Media team you will be working with a variety of technologies to create Android based versions of the player.
Responsibilities may include:
- Design, implement, and maintain of a variety of android mobile application initiatives.
- Define the software architecture and lead on all phases of development – with a particular emphasis on creating the front-end, user-facing.
- You will work closely with our product, design, and engineering teams to design, implement and refine the software program.
- Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex application software problems and their related interfaces.
- Besides coding, you will be responsible for assisting with documentation, building test plans, debugging software, providing design input, and helping in every way to ensure the successful rollout of each phase of the project.
Requirements
- Development expertise in one or more Android domains, including Objective C and Cocoa
- Development on Android 2.2 (Froyo)
- Good understanding of Android multimedia, networking, and graphics subsystems.
- Fast learner, solid problem solver with great testing and debugging skills.
- Must work on-site in our Dulles, Virginia office
- 6 month contract, 40 hours a week
