Job Description
We have an immediate need for a Project Manager who has solid broadcast project management experience. This would be a long term assignment until the end of the year working to manage work-flows and schedules for one of our biggest client.
The Project Manager is responsible for completing all deliverables on time, within budget, while meeting client expectations. Planning is a critical component and is the single most important activity. Planning needs to be detailed, specific, and ongoing. The project manager has to keep the teams’ attention focused on achieving goals and meeting deadlines, by clearly communicating expectations and a sense of urgency when required. All project deliverables and activities need to be visualized and articulated in accurate detail. The project manager will interface with all disciplines in the agency, and should inspire and promote action with all players.
Responsibilities:
- Document the overall strategy and develop a 10,000 ft project plan with an estimated schedule.
- Work with the Planning and Account teams to define the detailed project deliverables and if out of scope take the steps necessary to get all approvals.
- Manage all projects from inception through to post-mortem, working with all agency disciplines, Planning, Creative, Account, and Production, to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
- Preparation of project plan, scope, schedule, and management of creative resource allocation.
- Maintain project time-lines, milestones, and deliverables across all channels. (broadcast, print and digital)
- Ensure that each project is clarified, articulated to all constituents and responsibility is assigned to the appropriate player (RASI).
- Act as the owner and expediter of the creative task list by managing requests, proactively communicating with all stakeholders (AE and Creative teams), and ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Ensure the Creative team has the support and required resources.
- Create and enforce project schedules, ensuring all internal parties meet milestones and deadlines.
- Work closely with the Manager of Creative Resources to outline the future work load and proposed schedules.
- Estimate resources needed for future projects and highlight potential resource deficiencies.
- Schedule and manage regular meetings with the Account group to discuss the ongoing strategy and future requirements.
- Schedule and manage all project meetings.
- Work closely with each producer to ensure the project is following mandatory client work-flows and the internal quality control milestones.
- Control priorities of projects throughout the project life-cycle.
- Communicate and escalate project issues and risks as appropriate.
- Maintain creative resource time allocations, and give status reports daily.
- Continually improve the process and help implement new work-flows.

- 5-7 years project management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and familiarity with the creative process.
- Strong problem solver with organization and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and team assignments.
- Consistent use of logical judgment when making daily decisions about assignment activities.
- Ability to manage and motivate agency team members.
- Team player willing to support other team members with work overflow.
- Strong, proactive, responsive written and oral communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and time management skills.
- Adaptable to change and tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to multi-task, and successfully manage multiple client assignments of different sizes/types.
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling tools: MS Project and MS Office.
