Job Description
The Business Intelligence Manager is a blended role that includes eCommerce Site Analytics as well as Cross-channel Customer Data Management. As brands and retailers are moving toward an integrated Customer and Channel strategy, an ideal candidate for this role would have held analytic roles in CRM/Direct Marketing as well as eCommerce or Digital Marketing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze web traffic and site behavior using clickstream tools (Omniture) for customer and business insights, leading to business actions (marketing, site usability, etc…) to deliver on improved customer site experience or business growth (sales, margin, traffic and conversion).
- Analyze performance and impact of site marketing initiatives on both online and offline customer behavior
- Perform customer segmentation and analytics to support cross channel retail marketing activities.
- Lead the development of holistic dashboards by pulling data from different data sources, identifying KPIs to help manage the business as well as for executive reporting (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
- Exhibit a high level of expertise in driving the data strategy across multiple customer touch points and “listening posts” (websites, surveys, testing, CRM systems, market research etc).
- Maintain Site Reporting Application and Data Integrity/validation (Omniture). Coordinating tagging for new site content and functionality, tracking parameter implementations. Be able to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements.
- Create future capability for Multivariate and A/B testing and post test analysis.
- Partner with marketing, vendor and IT on CRM system implementation and data management.
- Partner internally and externally to ensure best practices in metrics and decision making are being maintained.
- Partner in creation of future loyalty programs.
Requirements
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
- Retail and eCommerce experience preferred.
- Statistics competencies preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of working with standard clickstream analysis tools: Omniture, ClickTracks, WebTrends, HBX, CoreMetrics etc…; experience in e-Commerce applications, including all aspects of process development and execution.
- High level of expertise with Business Intelligence tools, two plus years, such as Brio, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Cognos etc with experience writing and tuning sql queries in a online or offline environment.
- Exposure to channel marketing analytics (SEM, affiliate, email etc…) a plus.
- Exposure to project management skills, business process redesign principles, tools and techniques a plus.
- Experience with web and browser based applications and technologies.
- Experience in eBusiness, eCommerce and CRM applications.
