Job Description
Full-time Design Director for global branging agency in San Francisco needed immediately.
Our client is an award winning firm due to their approach and method of making brands evolve, like the people that grow to depend on them. You will partner with the Creative Director to drive excellence in design, collaborate with client services to deliver design excellence and engage with and grow client relationships.
You will also contribute to business development, maintain a full and continual understanding of the project scope, budget, timings and resourcing and promote creativity in the studio and across the group. Representing our client within the creative community — social networks, media, events, client entertainment awards.
Responsibilities
- Inspire and direct the creative team to deliver world-class creative output
- Collaborate with Client Lead to shape and write proposals
- Collaborate with Client Lead to present to clients throughout creative development phases in order to explain concepts and solutions for sign-off
- Collaborate with Client Lead to ensure project profitability
- Write Creative Briefs
- Line manage creative team members
- Attend internal meetings (account ops, production and creative)
Requirements
- World-class innovative ideas
- Excellent technical understanding
- Understanding of emergent practices, methodologies and technologies
- Formulate creative strategy
- Deliver systematic approaches
Communication
- Offer advice to clients and build trust
- Present confidently to design practioners, marketing functions and senior clients
- Clear direction
- Storyboard, 'proof of concept' and model complex creative idea
- Setting example of creative excellence, team interaction and business responsibility
- Developing younger team members (skills)
Practical
- Adobe CS and Microsoft Office essential
- Animation, film and coding skills beneficial
