Job Description

The Director, Digital Analytics and Insights will serve as corporate expert in the standardization and institutionalization of digital marketing measurement and metrics, across all brands globally. This role will be the corporate leader in social media monitoring for brand measurement and converting conversational data across our brands into actionable insights.

This role will serve as a key enabler to all global initiative leaders to ensure that digital marketing measurement and digital media information/insights are properly understood, interpreted and applied to create best-in-class business solutions that are fact driven, consumer inspired and brand-building.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the creation of converting global social media monitoring data into analysis and insights at the brand level and regional level that can shape our consumer, brand and marketplace understanding.
  • Grounded in an understanding of the major digital marketing/media activities of brands, develop and institutionalize a standardized set of key quantitative and qualitative digital marketing/media metrics and KPIs, globally as well as a process for reporting.
  • Support brands in the utilization of these digital metrics to promote adoption and ensure superior brand measurement and interpretation of results.
  • Create roadmap for translation of standardized metrics into proprietary metrics, and develop digital marketing benchmarks.
  • Provide accompanying recommendations on associated research/measurement technology vendors.
  • Stay continually updated on new digital research vendors and technologies to ensure standards and tools are best in class.
  • Drive integration between eCommerce analytics and multiple brand/communications digital channels.
  • Build competitive digital marketing intelligence through existing and new methodologies.
  • Leverage additional industry research to interpret/filter key brand and category knowledge for the company.
  • Work closely with project management and technical teams to ensure measurement, tracking plans and analysis are strategically aligned.
  • Work with global/brand counterparts to establish best practices regarding the use and integration of multi-variate analysis.


 

Requirements


  • Strong brand digital research and analytics experience agency and/or client side, on CPG and/or luxury brands (8 years direct experience, minimum). Direct beauty industry experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of social/digital media; metrics and analysis, with competence in most if not all of the following tools and vendors: TNS, Coremetrics and/or Omniture, Comscore, Hitwise, Nielsen NetRatings Products, Vizu, Dynamic Logic, Insight Express, Brand Keys, Latitude, Harris Interactive, BIG Research, Quantcast, WebTrends, SMM solutions like Radian6.
  • Ability to marry strong analytical and data-mining skills with the ability lend vision and creative interpretation to best distill issues and opportunities, and implications for our brands.
  • Comfortable working as a member of a corporate team involving strong influencing skills as an enabler to the brands.
  • Strong presentation skills and a particular aptitude for synthesizing complex material so that it is clear, meaningful and actionable to a variety of stakeholders.
  • A facilitator and collaborator ; able to work in fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Plugged in to digital and social media technologies and trends.
