Job Description

Our client is seeking a Director of Site Analytics and Conversion to lead the creation and management of our internal testing analytics platform. The role requires a detail-oriented, numerical individual who can see the big picture and who can create a compelling narrative with data. The right candidate has a fundamental grasp of statistical and analytical methodologies and at the same time has the business and personal acumen to deliver results to multiple audience types. You’ll be a key go-to person with exposure to Senior Management and the CEO. As a bonus, you’ll also be tasked with creating interfaces for both desktop and mobile. 

Responsibilities

  • Direct company-wide design & implementation of the front-end conversion measurement platform.
  • Implement a set of best practices for experiment data interpretation.
  • Share best practices across all front-end conversion teams and ensure consistent interpretation of experiment results.
  • Provide detailed POV on experiment performance to stakeholders, including the diagnosis of anomalous results.
  • Research and recommend best-in-class web analytics tools to enrich experiment analytics.

Core competencies

  • The role will combine hardcore statistical expertise with business savvy. If you’ve got a novel conclusion to questionable results you’ll need to back it up with facts.
  • You’ll need to form fast and accurate actionable steps through thoughtful interpretation of results.
  • Have a knack for extracting the essence of complex, multi-faceted data and expressing its meaning to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Need the ability to establish instant credibility and close alignment with cross functional team members.
  • Must possess the capacity to tie quantitative tools to key client business issues.

Requirements

  • Degree in math, computer science or similar field
  • 5+ yrs experience in ecommerce or digital media analytics
  • An advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Experience with standard web analytical tools and interfaces (Omniture, Google Analytics, etc.) is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization and establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Knowledge of web code as it relates to applied analytics tracking
