Director, Social Media Marketing

Our client is seeking a Director, Social Media Marketing to join the Brand Marketing team. In this exciting new role, you will define and implement our social media marketing strategy. Social media, communities and viral ad campaigns will complement our world class brand advertising and help drive consideration and overall perception of their brand. This marketing leader has led and executed successful social campaigns with a leading brand and is ready to bring a fresh perspective. This position reports to the Senior Director of Digital Brand Strategy.


Responsibilities:

• Brand lead for our enterprise social media strategy, including oversight on launching initiatives into the marketplace to support the strategy
• Provide strategic thought leadership to drive the experimentation of social media, content, communities and technology; infuse learning into future efforts
• Leverage competitive intelligence and marketplace trends to provide leadership on how they should innovate and evolve within the social media space
• Leverage consumer insights, sponsorships, new product launches to identify and execute new and engaging capabilities, initiatives and campaigns 
• Work with a team of analysts to review site metrics / analysis and customer feedback to identify opportunities and recommend strategies to maximize online effectiveness and customer satisfaction
• Manage a marketing budget and prioritize its allocation
• Partner cross-functionally with P&L owners, other Brand teams, eCommerce / IT, Operations, Legal, etc. in support of launching enterprise digital / marketing solutions
• Lead agency relationships and other vendors, as required
• Maintain a Center of Excellence in Brand for social media
• Develop and coach a team of Brand Strategists

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7years experience in brand marketing, communications, advertising or product development.
  • 3 years of digital marketing experience, including digital campaigns, social media, viral marketing, and mobile marketing.
  • 3 years experience in managing a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a top tier College/University
  • Masters Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Experience at a world class brand known for its innovation or digital focus, or an agency with proven expertise in digital, customer experience and/or branding
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering digital marketing campaigns resulting in tangible results
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Keen eye toward creative and its influence on consumer behavior
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Superior strategic thinking, influence and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills
