Job Description
An Interactive Digital Agency in the Philadelphia area is looking to add a Director of Client Development (Sales) to join their team of professionals.
The ideal candidate will have successful sales experience initiating new business development and generating leads in an advertising agency environment. Previous experience either in a digital agency and related to ecommerce and video management platform initiatives is a major plus.
Core Competencies:
- Identify revenue generating accounts through driving effective selling and marketing strategies
- Generate and qualify new business leads and opportunities among large organizations
- Lead and facilitate business development activities (inbound/outbound)
- Cultivate strategic promotions of our solutions offerings specifically in the ecommerce and media and entertainment arenas
- Work closely with assigned project teams across account portfolios to shape emerging business opportunities
- Maintain a high level of weekly activity consisting of cold calling, appointments
- Work with Sr. Management, key functional leadership, and others within the organization to develop and maintain sales presentations
- Create, document, and track action plans and solution strategies
- Be responsible for overall management of relationship health across key client stakeholders
- Attend and be an active member of industry events and networking opportunities
Requirements
- Must have at least 5-10 years of successful experience in an agency setting (digital agency experience is preferred)
- Proven track record of success demonstrated in articulate stories
- Extremely strong strategic negotiating experience with a history of exceeding initial expectations while strengthening customer relationships
- A competitive, hunter personality that can make a favorable, first impression on middle management and C-level leadership
- Possess a network of contacts and provide insight that leads to identifying and closing new business with new clients
- Assume ultimate responsibility for all client deliverables
- Must have exceptional and effective communication skills (oral and written) with an entrepreneurial approach that builds and nurtures strong and lasting relationships to maximize financial success
