Job Description

A top publishing client of ours in NYC is looking for a Director of Online Customer Experience to provide team leadership and a passion for the discipline of site optimization with a desire for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in optimizing the processes and analytics of user experience optimization as well as search engine optimization.

Responsibilities will encompass user-experience/website optimization, SEO, and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve overall business objectives.

Site Optimization

  • Lead ongoing website redesigns to meet changing business needs
  • Act as internal expert on eCommerce User Experience
  • Analyze web metrics to identify, prioritize, and recommend new enhanced features/functionality to improve the web experience
  • Partner with development resources to execute recommended enhancements
  • Leverage A/B and multi-variate testing to increase site conversion and user experience

 SEO

  • Lead development and execution of SEO strategy
  • Define SEO success metrics, develop and manage reporting, and analyze and communicate performance to key stakeholders
  •  Define, prioritize, and manage execution of key SEO tactical initiatives, including keyword analysis, on-site optimizations, content development, site auditing, link-building, and competitive analyses
  • Remain current on the latest industry trends, guidelines, and search algorithm changes

Requirements


  • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience required, graduate degree a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in site optimization and SEO marketing
  • Proven team leadership and management experience
  • Strong data analytics and strategy background; web analytics experience
  • Exceptional oral, written and presentation/communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and eagerness to work as member of a team
  • Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork
