Job Description
Are you excited about writing cutting edge Front-End code and building amazing websites for portfolio building brands?
Our client, a large Advertising Agency in Boston is looking for a Front-End/Web Developer to join their team permanently.
The Web Developer will build, test, debug, troubleshoot programs and scripts for various functions, and modify existing code to add new features. We are looking for someone that has the motivation and capability to architect and develop elegant solutions in a fast paced environment and juggle multiple projects at once. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn technologies based on industry trends and/or client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Architect web deliverables to meet the needs of agency’s clients
- Manage and Maintain websites, as well as, resources and vendors related to projects
- Serve as technical liaison to other internal teams (account service, creative, new business, etc)
- Understand emerging technology and trends
Requirements
Working with a diverse set of clients and partners requires that we're able to work across platforms and create technology solutions that leverage existing infrastructure investments already in-place. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a multi-disciplinary environment, working with deadlines and be a central part of the creative process.
Having the following experience is required:
- 2+ years of hand coding front-end development experience (HTML, CSS)
- Standards-compliant HTML, CSS, Javascript (or JQuery) and working knowledge of AJAX
- Comfortable working with design and prototyping software/tools such as Photoshop
- Solid communication skills with a good attitude and fun to work with
- Ability and desire to learn/dabble in new additional code (ie: PHP)
Nice to have:
- Experience with PHP
- Knowledge of SQL, particularly MySQL, Java/J2EE, ASP.Net
