Job Description
We are seeking a web developer with the skills to code Websites, blogs, Facebook apps, tabs and more. A rock star front-end developer to join the Washington DC office of our international ad agency. We need someone who loves keeping up-to-date on the newest advancements and can figure out when to start applying those advancements to client work.
Who are you?
- You are a master at defininging, combining and grouping CSS selectors for HTML elements, ID, classes, pseudo classes, child or sibling.
- You're familiarity with the semantic markup for display of lists, tabular data, forms, articles have been perfected.
- You control structures such as objects, functions, conditional statements, arrays, loops and expressions within javascript and are well versed in regular expression validation and submitting data.
What will you be Responsible for?
- Event handling by creating and controlling windows and dialogs.
- creating well developed processes for troubleshooting and debugging
- develop debugging tools for cross-browser issues.
Requirements
This position offers the opportunity to continually expand existing skills and develop new ones. Additional consideration will be given to candidates who also have any experience or demonstrated ability to acquire skills in the following areas:
- 3 years minimum experience with HTML/XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- 2 years minimum experience with PHP and MySQL
- Ability to update, edit, and cut up graphics from Photoshop designs
- Experience developing for cross-browser/platform compatibility
- Experience with WordPress and/or Drupal
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Experience using social-media APIs (Google, Yahoo, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
- Experience with JavaScript libraries such as JQuery and Prototype, and/or experience with JSON
- Facebook Connect, application, or FBML experience
- Mobile Website and/or app development
