Job Description
Onward Search seeks an IA/UX professional to work within a mobile payments startup based in San Francisco full-time. You will design best-in-class web applications for publishers, carriers, consumers and internal employees. Your expertise in research and information architecture should accompany a passion for user-interface design. You will work with a team of stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and designers to build the next generation of our client’s web and mobile applications used to operate the mobile payments business internally and externally. You will be responsible for producing detailed user process flows, site maps, wireframes, user-interfaces, and other IA deliverables to guide the product development process. Ability to produce visual design comps is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a multidisciplinary group of stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and designers to refine and transform user needs into usable user interfaces.
- Responsible for researching, designing, and documenting user interfaces and features.
- Responsible for production of Information Architecture deliverables such as user research, wireframes, personas, site maps, process flows, user-interface design.
- Responsible for innovative information organization structures, interaction designs, page-level content organization, and navigation.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Human Factors, HCI, Cognitive Psychology or related discipline (Masters Degree preferred)
- Interest in user research/usability testing methodologies and user-centered design.
- 3+ years experience in information architecture/user interface design and relevant applications (Visio, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and design process expertise.
- Expertise in information architecture deliverables including wireframes and site maps.
- Ability to produce visual design comps a major plus.
Knowledge of general user interface design guidelines and usability engineering methods. - Experience building web applications for financial institutions a plus.
- Excellent collaborative, verbal, and written communication skills.
