Job Description
Working with internal business units and partners, the Online Project Manager is responsible for defining and managing the execution of web-based initiatives to drive business growth, improving efficiencies, and building our clients brand online. The Project Manager is responsible for leading the development of online solutions that deliver business benefits across the company.
Skills:
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, effectively managing all defined aspects of each initiative
- Experience with online initiatives of all sizes, particularly with consumer- and external business-facing Internet applications
- Experience developing and maintaining a full range of project documentation, including project plans, functional requirements, communications plans, project status reports, etc.
- Ability to lead and manage a cross-functional team, including remote contributors
- Experience managing expectations and relationships with internal business units, with demonstrated business results
- High level of aptitude for understanding technical systems and functionality
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong ability to establish and build relationships
Education:
BS/BA degree in eCommerce, Computer Information Systems, online Business/Marketing or related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years related work experience, at least 3 years in web business solutions, business systems analysis, and/or related project management, or equivalent experience.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Apply effective Project Management techniques to oversee the implementation of online projects, ensuring the on time, in scope, on budget delivery of completed work, including:
- Learn and understand existing technologies and functionality to identify opportunities for leveraging across projects and business units
- Learn and understand business models and strategies across business units to appropriately advise and influence recommended approaches for specific web initiatives
- Work with client groups to solicit, understand, and define business requirements for upcoming projects
- Lead the effective formulation of web solutions to fulfill business needs, leveraging and/or integrating with existing web systems and infrastructure
- Assist, as required, in the formulation of business proposals that effectively demonstrate for client audiences the proposed web solution to meet their business needs
- Provide all required documentation, understanding of work progress, and team support throughout project life-cycles
- As required, manage budgeted material expenses for client work
- Make presentations to business leaders as required to influence understanding of various Web Solutions projects and/or phases
- As required, work to educate other business units about the capabilities and processes of this team
- As required and/or appropriate, drive or define new or improved processes to effectively and efficiently manage projects, from conception through completion
- Identify and share business best practices that could be utilized across the group
