Job Description
Position Summary
The SEO Manager is responsible for implementing and executing Search Engine Optimization plans, strategies and deliverables for our world-class portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert level knowledge in site structure, coding compliance, Meta strategies, page weight, linking profiles, site indexing, content development and social media as it impact SEO ranking and organic traffic. The Manager will work closely with the media, analytics, creative and the engineering teams to integrate SEO guidelines, best practices and insights into the project planning, delivery and execution of client SEO works. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for measuring and analyzing our clients’ SEO health on a day-to-day basis. Additionally, the Manager will serve as one of the in-house experts on the SEO team to develop and enhance agency processes, internal trainings and day-to-day operations; Frequent client interactions is expected at this level including at least 25% travel to other office(s) and/or client sites.

Specific Responsibilities
- Develop action plans for achieving and measuring SEO success, including determining key metrics, processes for measurement, and optimization.
- Develop and implement white-hat SEO strategies and tactics for client websites
- Keyword research & development
- Linking development & optimization
- Content optimization (local & global)
- Creative, design, technical SEO specifications
- Other SEO improvements in indexing, crawling and ranking of pages
- Provide department management with regular updates and reports on SEO performance, including rationale, recommendations, and projected results.
- Develop high-level reports and comprehensive analysis for executive management.
- Forecast SEO project time-lines and resourcing as needed to support scope of work.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to discuss planning, strategies, results, or general consulting on SEO.
- Stay abreast of current industry trends through continuous learning and community involvement.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of digital media and marketing expertise, including 3+ years experience in focused SEO discipline either in-house and/or agency environment.
- In-depth understanding of search ranking factors, including expert knowledge in all of the following: site maps, robots files, URL structures, crawler issues, indexing problems, algorithm changes, metadata use, SEO copywriting, link research, link building, back-link analysis, anchor link analysis, broken links, cross linking, 301 redirects, etc.
- Proven success delivering exceptional SEO results for a global brand and/or large-scale e-commerce site.
- Possess expert level understanding of industry SEO tools.
- Strong technical, analytical and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Web usability a plus.
- Highly organized and great attention to detail.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Very strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office software.
- Experience with tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics, Webtrends, Hitwise, ComScore, etc.
Experience with international search engines and localization/globalization a plus.
