Job Description
Our client, a Bay Area Financial Services firm is looking for a Marketing Analyst with SOLID SAS Programming Skills. The Marketing Analyst needs to be a Self-starter with meticulous eye to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Use understanding of the retail customer, as well as leverage internal customer information and external demographic data to implement & continuously refine the marketing and analytics strategies.
- Define and execute portfolio and program analytics, data pulls, file generation, etc. to support all assigned marketing initiatives.
- Set up testing strategies and prepare results for station promotions, direct mail campaigns, email marketing campaigns, application contests or other marketing efforts.
- Analyze the portfolio to identify marketing opportunities and segmentation & targeting strategies.
- Drive process improvement in CRMS system to support program execution & reporting/analysis.
- Manage workflow and on-time delivery of all requests for reports, ad hoc analysis, program results, modeling, targeting and segmentation strategies. Work with Analytic leader to prioritize initiatives and manage expectations.
- Act as a statistical and analytic consultant for large-scale initiatives, providing guidance for the design, analysis, & measurement phases of the projects.
- Develop presentations and program report-outs for marketing campaigns and initiatives including strategic recommendations and cost/benefit analysis and present to the client team.
- Utilize Six Sigma tools & methods to improve targeting for direct channel campaigns.
- Serve as a flexible team resource to drive highest priority opportunities as they arise.
- Work with client and internal cross-functional units (e.g. Risk, Legal, Operations, Systems, Field sales team, etc.) to support marketing programs.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Database Marketing or Quantitative Analysis preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in programming (SAS and/or SQL).
- Ability to provide end-to-end analytic support including pulling data, preparing analysis, interpreting data, making strategic recommendations and presenting to the client.
- Relationship management experience with internal customers and external clients.
- Ability to clearly explain technical and analytical information (verbally, written & in presentation format) and apply/summarize for business use.
- Excellent project management skills.
The ideal candidate will have a familiarity with; Transactional and SKU-level data; CRM technologies; Segmentation and Targeting strategies using credit card behavior, and credit bureau data.
