This position will be primarily focused on the development of a suite of custom .NET applications to support the Concierge business. As a critical member of the Application Development team – this team member will have a strong voice in the direction of the software engineering practice at Circles and will be expected to develop solutions that focus on the long term value of the application suite.

As a hands-on contributor, this individual will actively participate in the build out of custom applications, the integration of enterprise tools such as search and content management, and a continued investment into the development infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day responsibilities for this team member will include:
  • Active participation in the development of new solutions and major enhancements to existing solutions.
  • Detail design and development of the core architecture used to support a Concierge based business model.
  • Active participation in the refinement of the Software Engineering practice at Circles with a focus on adopting a Test-Driven-Development methodology under and an agile project framework.
  • Supports the design and implementation of QA and integration testing.
  • Assists Circles leadership with the requirements definition for system enhancements.
  • Ensures applications security is adequate and maintained. Provides timely and accurate response to security audits.
  • Provides documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
  • Provides level 3 support in a 24 x 7 environment.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Computer Science or related course of study
  • 3+ years application development and or web development (required skill).
  • 3+ years proven experience with C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and SQL (required skill).
  • Solid understanding of web application architecture, best practices, security and development methodology.
  • Strong understanding of common SDLC approaches such as Agile and Test-Driven-Development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience as a primary contributor in Web Application development for all phases of the SDLC.
  • Familiarity with commonly used tools in a .NET development environment such as VisualStudio 2010 and Team Foundation Server (desired skill).
  • Familiarity with commonly used infrastructure elements in a .NET development such  ASP.NET MVC, (desired skill).
  • Familiarity with commonly used Enterprise Applications such as Enterprise Search tools, Content Management Systems, eCommerce Platforms (desired skill).
