Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a Front-End Engineer/Omniture Expert for a long-term contract opportunity. This front-end engineer will be responsible for the architecture, development and maintenance of Omniture code on one or more web properties. The ideal candidate will have very strong knowledge in HTML, CSS, Javascript as well as Omniture. You will need to demonstrate extreme attention to detail, be passionate for developing Omniture implementations that allow easy on-going updates and implementations to site pages and sections. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a number of different disciplines are a must.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 5+ years hands-on front-end web development experience.
- Expert knowledge with Javascript, DOM, (X)HTML, and CSS
- Expert hands-on knowledge in Omniture implementations.
- Hands-on knowledge with user behavior tracking systems and methodologies.
- Ability to write CSS, semantic markup and unobtrusive javascript.
- Knowledge of javascript frameworks (preferrably JQuery) is a plus.
- Strong technical design and architectural skills.
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-driven software engineering.
Requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement front-end Omniture code in a well architected, scalable manner.
- Use and advocate the use of web standards, and all modern web technologies.
- Work with the research department to understand their web analytic needs and translate them into technical requirements for Omniture implementation.
- Work with middle-ware engineering teams to refine and extend Content APIs to expose data necessary for Omniture implementations.
- Develop and enforce Omniture implementation standards and frameworks for other front-end developers to follow.
