Job Description
A top entertainment client in NYC is seeking a consumer-focused product developer. The position is responsible for planning and executing gaming products for mobile and web platforms throughout the development lifecycle: including product vision and strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure business and user satisfaction goals are met.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of creative and technical skills, and be able to solve problems creatively. Prior gaming experience is a must!
The Product Developer is expected to:
- Understand and translate business objectives into compelling products
- Work collaboratively with teams to define UX specifications, prioritize features, build consensus and coordinate product schedules across multi-discipline teams
- Create user experience materials or oversee the handoff of those generated by an outside vendor to the Tech team (wireframes, user flows, prototypes, experience docs/specs, code samples, etc)
- Facilitate communication throughout the product development process between a variety of internal teams including editorial, production, design, engineering, executive, and others
- Maintain Jira ticket backlog and a prioritized roadmap for assigned products
- Integrate usability studies, site analytics and market analysis into product requirements to ensure products satisfy user needs
- Leverage a strong foundation in web development platforms, systems and practices ideally in an enterprise environment to deliver practical solutions
- Understand and implement SEO best practices from content and technical perspectives
- Maintain awareness of advancements in the design and developer communities
- Act as a product evangelist within the company
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must have built interactive digital products previously
- Should have acting knowledge of presentation layer technologies including ActionScript 2.0, JavaScript, DOM, HTML, and CSS
- Familiar with Omniture, Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tool a plus
- Comfortable with both traditional development methodologies and Agile Development
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Must be able to provide strong wireframe and sketch samples
