Job Description
Are you a package designer that is as good in graphics as you are in structure? Is it time to make the jump to management without abandoning your design principles? My client is looking for a Package Design Manager to continue creating award winning work!!
This will reporting to the Creative Director, you would work with a strong team of art directors and copywriters to deliver fun and quality creative for several top-notch CPG clients.
We want to see a well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives and strategies. We are looking for you to have a good balance of creative thinking with strong interpersonal skills. You should demonstrate your ability to work with a team to successfully develop concepts through full execution.
Responsibilities:
- Concept and campaign development from complex creative briefs into award-winning creative
- Work with an account team to create project estimates, timelines and help define project deliverables
- Understand strategic marketing development including client objectives, insights, timelines and budgets
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to client’s brand and marketing teams
- Directing and delegating to creative team when needed
- Strong sketching skills preferred to demonstrate ideas from concept through final deliverable
- Providing quality assurance of all creative
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project goals and exceed client expectations
- Contributing to the development of the agency’s culture and quality standard
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in visual communication or related field
- Minimum of ten years design experience in marketing or advertising, with a minimum of five years of art direction
- Passionate for design and creative problem solving
- Motivation, organizational skills, efficiency and dedication to getting a job done right
- Ability to build files by agency standards and understanding common aspects of packaging and print production
- Experience leading a team of designers and studio artists
- Well-developed communication skills
- Ability to think and respond quickly, while maintaining attention to detail
- Mastery of all the latest design tools, platforms and versions of applicable software programs -- Mac OS, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and others
- Provide design leadership, vision and expertise including graphics, structure, industrial and human factors to optimize the integration and alignment of brand components
- Packaging Design - with structural design experience
- Responsible for style guides
- CPG experience Managing Packaging Designer
