Job Description
Onward Search currently has a fantastic opportunity for a talented and driven Internet Marketing professional! Our client, a major multichannel retailer, is looking to bring in a Paid Search Expert to continue to grow their business through Online Customer Acquisition.
We seek an organized, proactive, highly analytical marketing manager, who will play a key role on the Internet Marketing team creating, tracking and optimizing the Paid Search marketing programs on Google, Yahoo, Bing, 2nd tier search engines and search network campaigns. This person will be able to multi-task in a busy, fast-paced environment yet remain very detail-oriented and forward-looking. Key responsibilities of this role include keyword development and management, ad copy creation and maintenance, landing page optimization and bid management.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, implement, track, analyze, and optimize PPC campaigns to drive maximum ROI in the paid search channel.
- Provide timely and accurate campaign performance reporting including but not limited to Revenue, Conversion Rate and Return on Ad Spend at the most granular level possible.
- Manage daily campaign tracking, planning, set-up, implementation and optimization including ad copywriting, keyword research & list building, keyword management to account for the deployment and of new discontinued product inventory as well as offer, ad and landing page testing.
- Provide accurate forecasts for Search spending.
- Actively seek out PPC growth opportunities, adjust programs appropriately and test and analyze keywords, copy and landing pages to increase ROI.
- Manage our bidding day-to-day to ensure effective program execution, adherence to strategic direction and timely program measurement.
- Stay abreast of latest search technologies and techniques for optimizing the effectiveness of online search.
- Partner with external vendors and search engine account management teams to ensure complete optimization of the FootSmart program.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree required, major in business, statistics, computer science, math or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of paid search experience as a paid search program manager or analyst for an Internet retailer, or paid search agency working on an e-commerce campaign of at least $1,000,000 in annual spend. Retail paid search experience preferred.
- Highly analytical and skilled at making data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work with and distill insights from large amounts of data.
- Demonstrated strength in both manual and bid-tool PPC optimization tactics - familiarity with DartSearch and SearchIgnite or similar tools a plus.
- Familiarity with web analytics solutions such as Google Analytics and Coremetrics.
- Google AdWords Certification strongly preferred.
- Excellent reasoning and problem solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong follow through capabilities.
- Strong Excel skill set.
- Excellent team player with strong project management and communication skills.
- Understanding of the relationship between SEO and SEM.
