Job Description
Fun, Hip and Innovative New Start-up is on a quest to find a talented human computer interaction (HCI)/UX designer to work full-time in their San Francisco office.
You should have some experience working for music or media companies because your innovative designs will help music lover’s move easily within our client’s web application. The Senior UI Designer will collaborate with executive and product teams to create innovative solutions that engage with the most discerning eyes of the music industry.
Responsibilities
- Apply your seasoned, successful track record to solving our client’s biggest usability challenges
- Cultivate and improve their focus on a user experience to go above and beyond the ordinary
- Coordinate with product managers, visual designer and the business teams to execute on high-impact products and features
- Collect and analyze metrics of design effectiveness using A/B and usability testing
- Expert working knowledge of CSS and HTML. You are able to quickly make additions or changes to our website
- Able to quickly mockup interactive prototypes using a variety of technologies and methods
- Creatively spot and solve problems in a continually-evolving product environment
- Proactively look for ways to improve user experience in all aspects of product
- Prior success in a fast-paced environment where short timetables and some unpredictability is the norm
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in user interface design
- B.S. in Computer Science, HCI, MIS, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility and familiarity with JavaScript
- Prior experience with designing consumer social products
- Prior experience displaying large amounts of data in an easy to understand workflow
- Have produced at least one project on an agile team
- Experience with product design
- Video production experience
- Prior experience in small startup environment
