Job Description
Onward Search is seeking a strategic Social Media Manager for a major Tampa, FL brand.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the messaging schedule and strategy of Facebook and Twitter, and operation of partner blog program under the direction of the Senior Manager
- Facilitates partner requests and cooperative planning for the social media team, in conjunction with other departments.
- Oversees timelines and deadlines for creative elements to ensure timely updates and campaign launches
- Contribute to analytics reports across social media and blog performance.
- Routinely monitors Facebook and Twitter activity
- Stays informed and knowledgeable on company promotions, events and launches to ensure content on social media is accurate and on-brand.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, media, communications or journalism
- 2-5 years experience in an online commerce space, with work experience including social media
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, problem-solve and multi-task
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.
- Self-starter. Ability to work in large, cross-disciplinary groups or independently.
- Ability to respond gracefully to last-minute business requests and work under tight timelines.
- Comfortable in multi-level stakeholder environments.
- Prior experience working in social media related to retail
- Awareness of emerging online retail trends and best practices.
- Demonstrated successes in fan number growth and engagement on social media platforms
