Job Description
Onward Search is working with a premiere agency located in Virginia. As a result of this agencies continued success they are looking for a Supervisor of Group Project Management to oversee all incoming projects and bring digital expertise to the Project Management Department.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as department’s digital expert and lead on cross-pollination of digital knowledge within Project Management
- Supervise, train, manage and develop career path for the team of Project Managers in assigned group
- Act as interdepartmental project leader (including all essential project management functions) for high-profile and intricate projects as needed
- Manage the scope of all Agency projects for assigned account(s), including
identifying, documenting and navigating any change in scope - Collaborate with counterparts in each department to ensure the greater-Agency teams are working efficiently and effectively
- Partner with senior account manager to assess Client needs for each project and to ensure the team operates efficiently and cohesively
- Ensure Agency protocol is followed; manage and enforce rigorous approval process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; PMP designation a plus.
- A minimum of 8 years of project management experience with a commanding knowledge of the project management discipline
- – OR –equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable.
- Superior understanding of the steps and processes involved in completing a wide variety of digital projects, including social
- Experience working with programmers, IAs, UX, QA etc.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Critical thinker and problem solver, ability to handle multiple tasks while being flexible and proactive.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
