UX Visual Designer - Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

In this long-term, contract role (M-F, regular full-time hours on site at client location in Boston, MA) the Visual Designer will participate in an end-to-end redesign of a high profile corporate web property.

Additionally, the Visual Designer will also participate in the creation of a number of smaller web and mobile prototypes and proofs of concept.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of user personas and scenarios
• Serve as a core team member in the creation of sketches, wireframes, flowcharts, and site/application maps
• Address complex design challenges including navigation interaction models, data visualization, and adherence to established visual and mobile interface guidelines
• Create highly polished visual designs that leverage and extend established brand standards
• Ensure that design efforts are aligned with the team’s business goals and expectations
• Work closely with the various cross-functional teams to test and refine designs and prototypes
• Communicate and "sell" his/her design solutions to teammates, engineers, product managers, partners, etc.
• Work with Creative Director and UX Director to ensure that various aspects of design work meet both UX Design andclients’ expectations

Skills
Needed:

• Strong knowledge of interaction design and methodology
• Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to      prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• In-depth understanding of HTML and CSS with basics understanding of HTML5
• Understanding of iOS, Android, and WebOS platforms a plus
• Expert skills in Adobe Fireworks, Photoshop and Illustrator image creation
•  Knowledge of animation, motion design and dynamic interaction skills a plus
•  Solid foundation in typography,layout, and general design
