Currently we have multiple positions open with our client, a Chicago based agency, all of which are looking to start YESTERDAY!

They are seeking an experienced Information Architect who will be responsible for contributing to the planning process of various Web sites by organizing information, developing Web site architectures, and developing labeling/search systems.

If you've ever been labeled as "that person that just draws boxes", well- we understand your pain! We know what it takes to be a top producer in Information Architecture. Your responsibilities at this agency will be to:

  • Conduct and participate in concept generation activities including the development of: user profiles, user scenarios, organizational models, task models and feature lists.
  • Create process flows, site maps, wireframes, and prototypes that will advance the company's user experience design and development mode.
  • Develop interactive prototypes that demonstrate the team’s vision to the business and customers.
  • Conduct end user needs assessment and task analysis using appropriate techniques, e.g. interviewing, ethnography, site usage data analysis, etc.
  • Perform heuristic site evaluations and competitive analysis; communicate results and implications.


Requirements

  • Significant experience working on complex content-based sites - content management systems experience CMS
  • Proficiency in VISIO.
  • Work with designers and developers to refine the user interface.
  • Experience with XML, HTML and/or SGML documenting, authoring and publishing process (tagging, authoring, publishing guidelines, data maps, etc.)
  • Experience in user research observation and translating user research into design decisions.
  • Information process flow definition and improvement background.
