Job Description

JUNIOR MOBILE USER EXPERIENCE/INFORMATION ARCHITECT

We need a Junior Mobile User Experience Architect who will apply knowledge of user-centered design methods, human-computer interaction and industry best practices to drive useful and usable interface design solutions for our client. The right person will strike a balance between creative and analytical thinking, participate in concept development, analyze and visualize user research and provide user interface designs that meet the goals set forth by the team.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to understand a target audience's needs and other motivating factors and translate them into concepts for compelling interactions and experiences.
  • Experience with design applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Visio and technologies such as HTML and CSS.
  • Ability to coach teams in proper execution of various research techniques including contextual inquiry, end-user and task analysis for complex or strategic projects.
  • Strong background in and understanding of the following: user research, information architecture, information design, interaction design, and user interface design.
  • Expert knowledge of fundamental digital marketing and search engine optimization best practices as it relates to UX design.
  • Experience in software graphic design desirable.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business needs and requirements into engaging and compelling on-line experiences.
  • Responsible for creating, enhancing and articulating the overall brand tone and personality through design and execution of online user experiences.
  • Define the principles to guide information technology and solution decisions for the enterprise.
  • Support the development and execution of a communication (including education) plan for the user experience architecture.
  • Research the competitive landscape and make recommendations relating to website functionality.
  • Ability to create icons, style guides, layouts, etc. for mobile user interfaces and assist UI designers and Program Managers throughout design process.
