Job Description
One of our top clients is looking for 2 User-Interface Designers for 3 of their product teams. The ideal candidate will be a hybrid designer/front-end developer who is able to work in a collaborative environment.
The User-Interface Designer will play a vital role in recommending and designing front-end interfaces to optimize customer engagement and improve conversion on a huge dot-com website. The role will work closely with designers, developers and business owners to increase conversion through a series of ongoing, quantifiable, customer-facing tests. This role will help shape the future user experience and presentation of our client's website(s).
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Able to work in a small tight-knit group and collaborate effectively with developers and business owners.
- Expertise in User-Interface design, especially e-commerce based UI.
- Strong front-end development skills. Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript and CSS layout skills
- Ability to quickly code complex designs in table-less CSS structure maintaining design integrity and with an eye to cross browser/platform issues.
- Knowledge of Ajax, jQuery, Prototype
- Expertise in Photoshop.
- Maintaining design consistency via the use of style guides, style sheets and enforcement of established standards and best practices.
- Must be organized and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with great time-management skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an agile development environment.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3+ years online design experience in an ad agency, e-commerce company, design studio.
- Experience producing user-interface changes that increase conversion.
