Job Description
Onward Search is looking for a Web Content Editor to manage a vast online film and photo library for its client, a world-class non profit organization. If you have experience managing diverse content with an established brand and are a lover of extraordinary causes, our client wants you on their team.
Our client produces rich video and photo content for educational and inspirational purposes. With hundreds of original films and thousands of photographs, this venerable non-profit organization is looking for a web professional to own the content process and take it to new heights.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a complex website with featured content and promotions; maintain client's style and aestheticism across a multitude of pieces of content.
- Work with social media manager to spread site awareness across several social media channels.
- Control and maintain a host of live web cams.
- Curate a deep collection of photos and movies for posting.
- Perform necessary edits to photo and film descriptions.
· Related degree
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience managing visual digital assets for a recognizable brand or marketing agency. Experience proofing film/photography captions and working with a popular web content management systems, such as WordPress is a must.
- A passion for/eye for design, color, and photography and exceptionally high attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc).
- Superb writing and copy-editing abilities.
- Previous experience as a writer and/or copy editor, design and/or photography.
- Experience with Photoshop, Aperture or other photo-related software.
- Final Cut Pro and video encoding software highly preferred.
