Job Description
Industry leader in design concept is seeking a talented designer to be responsible for creating the look/feel of web sites, mobile apps, and brand campaigns. Communicates big ideas through effective design is only one part of this role; We push to create immersing, one-of-a-kind work. Ultimately, we're seeking that rare designer who is passionate and understands of how next-generation interactive experiences should look and function. And, of course, the dedication and talent to execute these designs is a must.
Knowledge and Skill Set
- Expert knowledge of: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects, etc
- Have the flexibility to work in various styles or voices
- Identify opportunities to improve the usability of user interactions
- Knowledge of modern web browser capabilities, compatibility issues and behavior, standards compliance, and accessibility issues
- Knowledge of the latest design trends in web, mobile, and print media
- Detail oriented with a passion for creating pixel-perfect designs
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Natural relationship building skills is a must
- Basic HTML and CSS knowledge
- Print, illustration, character design experience a plus
Minimum Job Requirements
- An astonishing portfolio that demonstrates your diverse abilities
- Minimum of 2-4 years of UI implementation and/or interactive experience working on high traffic, consumer-facing sites, ideally in the media and entertainment industry
- An understanding of different platforms: web, mobile/iPhone/iPad and desktop apps
Requirements
Responsibilities include
- Work with producers to translate clients business objectives into cutting-edge design solutions
- Envision and design unique websites, mobile applications, as well as other interactive and print materials
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Responsible for the design of various supporting online assets, such as Flash banners, promotional landing pages, email campaigns, newsletters, etc
- Understand user demographic and create designs that appeal to the different types of users and personalities
- Design and create sales and marketing materials
- Review UI and work with the functional team to ensure the UI and design meets design requirements and specifications
