Job Description
Onward Search Dallas is looking for Web Designers who not only have incredible visual portfolio's but who are also comfortable with a little front end coding and some user interface design.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Understand & use branding guidelines to create complex internal/external company web pages including graphics, animation, and functionality.
- Concept & Design flash projects including banners, landing pages, animated presentations, etc.
- Perform front-end development and maintenance programming for web pages and web applications as needed.
- Work with colleagues on site experience, technology and online marketing to ensure consistency of the company brand.
- When required, provide technical or design expertise and help evaluate new technologies to improve processes and productivity.
- Design and create web page layouts, user interface graphics, icons, color schemes, content, and supporting infrastructure for new product releases and digital customer communications.
- Ensure all designs have an appealing and consistent user interface that fulfills all brand and other requirements.
- Support web usability testing and create materials for testing as required.
Requirements
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously & work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of User Experience principles and how to effectively incorporate them into page designs.
- Ability to create rapid prototypes of page designs for testing and presentations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of web technologies, particularly HTML5 and CSS3.
- Must present portfolio with Strong design skills.
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of .Net, Javascript, JQuery and Actionscripting 2 or 3.
- Design skills using Adobe Creative Suite products including Photoshop, Illustrator and preferrably some Flash.
- Minimum 4 years related experience.
- Cross-platform knowledge and experience in design and coding for online communications (like emails).
