Job Description
This contract-to-hire position is the perfect opportunity for a mid-level web designer to jump in with a strong creative team on a growing global retail brand. Don't miss this chance to become part of a full global redesign in 2012!
In this role you will be responsible for a variety of global digital marketing design projects, including site redesigns, landing pages, emails and advertising. Our ideal candidate will have a feminine design aesthetic and some experience in eCommerce.
This location is BART accessible from anywhere in the bay area!
Job Responsibilities:

Translate brand and business strategies into elegant and eye catching page layouts, email designs and banner advertisements. -
Maintain global brand consistency through use of style guide and design standards. -
Create web assets for various digital marketing initiatives. -
Hand off web ready Photoshop files to engineering for development and work closely with in house engineering team for ideal page functionality and design.
Requirements
-
3+ years of professional experience in web design, preferably in an e-commerce environment -
Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and working knowledge of the full Adobe CS4 or CS5 suite. -
Portfolio showing an elegant design style and a strong sense of typography. -
Self-motivated and collaborative work style, with a great sense of organization and management of design project deadlines.
We will hire the right candidate immediately for this role and will hire permanently after 30-60 days working on contract with the team.
