Job Description


Our client, an Internet Retail Company located in Center City, Philadelphia, is looking for a Full-time Front-End Web Developer.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in the standard HTML/CSS/JS stack, have an eye for detail, believe in the concept of code as craft, and share a passion continuing experimentation of all web developement spheres. 

This is a key role within the organization and the ideal candidate should possess an understanding of online retail business, online marketing, and usability considerations for web design.

What will you be doing for this Retail Giant?
  • Actively contribute to the overall design and architecture of overall web platform solutions
  • Develop responsive and elegant cross-platform functionality for web applications
  • Implement complex creative concepts within a responsive-design framework
  • Research new technologies and approaches to address business needs and improve existing systems
  • Engage in detailed quality assurance activities that include proofing copy, e-mail deliverability verification, broken images/links review, user acceptance testing, template standardization, and optimizing web page and images for fast viewing online.
  • Maintain internal documentation for web page template designs, e-mail campaign configurations, and quality assurance checklists.
  • Assisting with creation of brand identity materials, brand standards, process documentation, and minor copywriting work, as required.

Requirements


  • Strong affinity towards marketing and sales

  • Traditional and/or interactive agency experience

  • High energy, confidence and passion for your job

  • Basic understanding and familiarity in working with ASP scripting and ASP .Net coding to assist IT department in the integration of web site designs into their Microsoft ASP/ ASP .Net code structure

  • Familiarity with coding in JavaScript, using Ajax and Flash is a plus

  • Superior verbal and written communication ability with strong business presentation skills

  • Self-motivated learner with innate intellectual curiosity

  • Ability to work within or lead a team to deliver superior results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere

  • Highly adaptable and able to keep up with the continually evolving needs of the company

  • Portfolio of digital illustration is a plus
