Position Summary

This Onward Search client is seeking a talented web developer to join their San Francisco team. You’ll work collaboratively with marketing, product, and development groups to rapidly build high quality web sites and web applications. Their family of web sites is visited by millions of people every month. You’ll be a critical part of the team that expands and improves these sites to help us grow.



What you'll be doing
  • Build public facing web pages across the client's websites
  • Develop HTML email templates for monthly promotional and educational campaigns
  • Build reusable CSS/JS frameworks to simplify development
  • Utilize AB testing and analytics to validate site changes
  • Work closely with designers, developers and marketing team to produce new sites and update existing ones

Requirements


  • 3+ years prior experience working in a web development role
  • Expert knowledge of HTML 5/4, CSS 3/2, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Familiarity with source control, in particular SVN or Git
  • Experience working with .net/C#/resx, PHP, Mobile Platforms, WordPress, 960.gs a plus
  • Prior involvement in localization projects or sites
  • Understands the principles of modern web application design and implementation
  • Strives to uphold application integrity by writing clean, modular and semantically correct code
  • Ability to translate business requirements and technical considerations into scalable development solutions
  • Proactive self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • BA or equivalent work experience
