Job Description
e-Commerce Manager is responsible for developing and managing the continued growth and performance of the company's top sales channel. He or she must be able to work effectively with Marketing, Creative, Web Operations, and outside services as required to create a persuasive online experience to raise conversion rates and average order value. We’re looking for an online sales rockstar, someone who can think strategically while also getting involved tactically in the execution of plans to enhance the online customer experience and ultimately, increase online revenue.
What you'll be doing
- Develop a strategy and implementation plan for increasing website and order conversion and average order value and optimizing purchase flow in order to achieve defined monthly sales targets
- Utilize industry best practices as it relates to online shopping experiences to recommend new features or enhancements and track the impact to web order conversion and revenue
- Analyze site and marketing data to determine conversion issues, optimal purchase paths, user experience changes, product prioritization, and cross-promotion
- Create, implement and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests for site optimization
- Develop and implement ideas to increase average order value and ancillary revenues
- Analyze usability and key site traffic funnels to identify how customers navigate, identify process bottlenecks, improve site navigation, increase customer satisfaction, optimize conversions, and reduce transaction abandonment
- Analyze merchandising, product placements, creative placements, and up-sell/cross-sell affinities to ensure best merchandise presentations and to increase average order value
- Provide insights from search traffic (paid & organic) for the purpose of optimizing PPC campaigns
- Develop and own the e-Commerce Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting process and produce daily, weekly, monthly reports
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of online marketing experience with a minimum 2 years hands-on experience managing a revenue-generating online product and online store
- Intimate knowledge of e-Commerce best practices
- Proven experience in online customer experience and usability optimization
- Experience creating and executing on requirements for online products and/or websites
- Proficient with Google Analytics and Eloqua (or similar marketing automation solution)
- Prior experience with A/B or multivariate testing online marketing tools
- Ability to manage cross-functionally and over several projects simultaneously
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) required
