A/V Help Desk Specialist

Our client needs a bright talent to with strong communication skills to deliver superior A/V operations and support services to teams across their organization, in collaboration with the A/V Solutions Engineer.

Technologies needed:

  • Hardware: Webex Room systems, on-site delivery rooms, off-site delivery rooms
  • Software: Webex Meetings, Webex Events, Skype for Business, INXPO, Adobe Connect, AttendantPro
  • Accessories: headsets, external conference speakers, webcams, VoIP phones

The role:

  • Provide on-demand technology and best practice planning and support services for live A/V events and sessions, including both internal-facing and external-facing events.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and testing of all A/V systems and technology.
  • Manage and execute the installation and repair of A/V technology, including the coordination of procurement and warranty activities.
  • Act as point of escalation for the IT Help Center and other internal teams regarding user issues and technical troubleshooting - including taking on ownership of user tickets when necessary.
  • Assist the A/V Solutions Engineer in the administration, configuration, and customization of A/V software systems.
  • Experiment with and test new A/V features and technology.
  • Create and maintain documentation re: A/V systems and technology.
  • Collaborate with the A/V Solutions Engineer to provide training, usage guidance, and targeted consultation services to teams across the organization.
  • Build and maintain expertise in A/V technology, and be a knowledge resource for A/V Solutions Engineer in developing and guiding usage of A/V portfolio.
  • Contribute to A/V projects in collaboration with the A/V Solutions Engineer, including both technical and usage-focused initiatives.
  • Assist the A/V Solutions Engineer in managing and advancing our catalog of A/V accessories.
  • Coordinate with other internal and external resources as-needed to deliver responsibilities.
  • Uphold and demonstrate our internal focus on delivering a high standard of service experience to the organization.

Experience :

  • 5+ years experience installing, configuring, and supporting corporate A/V systems
  • 2+ years experience planning, preparing for, and supporting live corporate events using A/V systems
  • In-depth knowledge of broad A/V technology landscape, current trends, and common issues
  • Experience supporting technology in both Windows and Mac corporate IT environments
  • Technology-related degree or certified completion of formal education in technology
