Our client, a social media content company, is on the hunt for a 3D Artist to join their team.
You will work on the Content team and be responsible for:
Utilize your 3D modeling and texturing expertise to help our team create new Bitmoji assets and experiences that make millions of people happy around the world.
Create high and low polygon models of 3D characters, clothes, accessories, and props set to specific technical and aesthetic guidelines
Project basis is creating PBR maps for multiple 3D assets (clothing, hair, props, accessories, etc.) and verifying within the real-time viewer.
Ensure a high level of fidelity in terms of modeling, texturing quality and optimization
Work closely with designers, character riggers, and animators while showing a general understanding of each department
Collaborate with prototypers and engineers to create and develop new products to bring to market
Problem solve any technical limitations and issues using creative and resource-efficient solutions
Share your knowledge and experience with the team and be part of driving a positive work environment
2 years of experience working with tools such as Zbrush, Maya, Photoshop, and Substance Painter or other projection-based texturing software (PBR workflow) with expertise in modeling and texturing.
2 or more years practical understanding of topology in using edge loops for deformation
Demonstrated expertise in modeling and texturing in the games industry (real-time) via a 3D art portfolio
Ability to work cross-functionally by communicating effectively with production, other departments and teams across the company
Strong communication skills and preference for working within a collaborative team environment
Be solutions-focused, and able to help identify and problem solve gaps in a production workflow
Able to work autonomously and complete tasks within tight production schedules
Highly self-motivated, look for positive outcomes, be well organized and driven
Experience with realtime engines Unreal 4 and/or Unity
