3D Character Artist

Our client, a AAA Game Studio, is seeking a 3D Character Artist to join the team! 

Position Summary:

The 3D Character Artist will be responsible for creating 3D characters and models for our game. The 3D Character Artist will be responsible for understanding the tools and techniques at our disposal and creating the best looking characters and models for our AAA games.

What you’ll be doing:

• Create 3d characters models and other models based on concept art or other specifications
• Work with riggers, technical artists, and animators to ensure character models can be rigged and animated correctly
• Work with other artists and programmers to make sure that art assets not only look good but are performant and according to the game specifications
• Work on other art tasks communicated by the Art Director
• Work with developers of other discipline to make sure that the art supports the game as a whole
• Help out with design, or testing when necessary

Desired Qualifications: 

• Extensive experience working with Unreal is required
• Mastery of standard modeling packages are required
• Good foundation in art and design
• Fluent with Photoshop and ability to paint textures
• Fluent with 3d modeling
• Familiarity with animation and rigging is a plus
• Able to communicate effectively about art and design in English
