Our client, a leading mid-sized ad agency in New York City, is looking for an Account Director with HCP and DTC Pharmaceutical Advertising experience. This role begins on-site in New York City ASAP.
What you'll be doing:
Leading your client team in the strategic development of advertising and marketing plans for existing and organic new business opportunities.
Oversee the development of campaigns and executions for both HCP and DTC brands.
Lead the team on a daily basis ensuring that all projects are being executed to the highest quality, and are on budget and on schedule for launch.
Ensure that the full agency capabilities are being utilized for the benefit of your clients' programs (e.g. creative, strategy, media, production, etc.).
Partner with the agency functions including strategy, creative, media and production to ensure that all objectives and deliverables are understood and aligned.
Develop and grow a lasting client relationship that creates a close and open dialogue about all topics including budgets, agency relations, projects, personnel and agency compensation, among others.
Lead and participate in all presentations to clients including strategy, creative and production meetings.
Partner with your creative and strategy teams to ensure that all creative reviews line up with campaign objectives.
Keep the Account Director up to speed on all necessary items, and lean on them for support as necessary.
Guide and supervise Account Supervisor and Account Executive on the day to day account management responsibilities, delegating work to foster personal growth for them and ensuring client needs are handled.
Ability to travel to clients as needed.

8+ years of HCP (Health Care Practitioner) Pharma marketing/advertising experience is a must for this role, as well as, experience with DTC (Direct to Consumer).
Well-versed in the regulatory process and working within FDA guidelines.
Experience in 360 Pharma advertising channels including social, digital, web, CRM, below the line collateral and more.
Experience managing junior Account partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
