Account Lead

Our client, a well-known ad agency, is looking for an Account Lead for a contract/contract-to-hire position.

About You:

You are adept at keeping multiple balls in the air while managing and liaising with clients, from providing strategic recommendations to managing agency resources to ensuring our clients’ advertising needs are consistently met.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure that the agency’s work is executed to the highest level of quality; on time and within budget
  • Ensure all initiatives support our client's brand and overall strategy, including briefs, POVs, creative, media plans, etc.
  • Elevate issues and opportunities to Group Account Director as needed
  • Foster and manage all relationships, maintaining contact and building rapport with other departments
  • Anticipate and resolve internal team and client issues as they are identified, and utilize the support of the leadership team, as needed
  • Collaborate with team to develop and deliver effective briefs and presentations
  • Be able to consistently evaluate creativity based on strategy and client needs
  • Establish client’s confidence by knowing their objectives and the status of client-related activity
  • Take responsibility for workflow across all campaigns and projects
  • Lead all meetings, setting expectations for key deliverables, team roles, and next steps
  • Partner with management to develop SOW and yearly budget and income projections
  • Play an active role in managing SOW, tracking budgets, monitoring team hours and account profitability
  • Identify account growth opportunities and future income streams
  • Develop and grow junior team members by ensuring goals and expectations are being set and met on an ongoing basis
  • Become an expert on clients’ business and maintain strong knowledge of the industry and emerging trends and technology

Required Skills:

  • Resourceful, collaborative team player
  • 5+ years of experience at an advertising agency
  • Superb written and verbal communications skills
  • Relationship builder and strong manager with clients and internal team alike
  • Strong understanding of all agency disciplines
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Project driver, solid experience in both digital and broadcast production
  • Experience working on integrated campaigns
  • Ability to think big picture, while still being detail-oriented
