Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager with 3+ years of experience to join a growing hip SF design agency!

This is a contract-to-hire role, 40 hrs/wk onsite in San Francisco.

This Account Manager will be responsible to build client relationships, manage projects and inspire designers. You will be partnering with two other account leads, a project manager, a creative director and five designers to serve key B2B tech clients.

These accounts move fast and we deliver a lot of work. That means processing client needs quickly and moving solutions ahead even more quickly, without losing sight of the details. You will need to lead with competence-based confidence, and while you will oversee many routine projects, your talents should really shine through when a client has a new problem, and/or needs to you get a job done despite information gaps. This person should be a great communicator – someone capable of nuanced written and spoken interactions that can build rapport while setting expectations. This person will be reporting to an Account Director.


  • Great client relationship skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective project management skills – ideally including experience with a broad range of print and digital project types
  • A level of marketing and design insight that allows you to speak confidently and productively with team members and clients
  • Comfort with managing several priorities at once, under time pressure
  • Ability to work in Basecamp and FunctionPoint
