Onward Search is looking for a ACD to work with a client for a TOP Agency on a contract basis.

You will be sitting onsite in Mooresville, NC and will be working with one of their top clients!

We are looking for someone with a truly hybrid skillset that includes an experience designer/visual designer and design thinker who can simultaneously think both strategically and tactically, with the ability to distill insights from research. Someone who can leverage (and/or enhance/optimize) an existing design system to rapidly create high-fidelity screens – not wireframes per se, but straight to comps.

The perfect candidate for this role will be someone with a strong understanding of brand but a focus on usability who is at the ACD Level. In this role you will be managing a team of your own so experience is a must!

You should be familiar with:

  • the E2E product development and design process
  • know the limitations and capabilities of the given platform
  • can work quickly and collaboratively with the product manager and product engineers (in a multi-disciplinary fashion to work through a backlog in conjunction with the established sprint cadence) there is no expectation to be able to write code of any kind, but as a product designer you should understand the benefits of a design system and be able to leverage a design system manager that can allow for easy translation of UI elements to code snippets, and maintain as short a distance as possible between design and development.

Must Haves:

  • ACD level
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Come from a graphic design and visual design background
  • Retail/ ecommerce experience a plus
