Onward Search is looking to hire an Agency Copywriter for a Marketing Agency in Midtown Atlanta!

The Copywriter role is responsible for generating short and long-form content for our company and our company's clients across a wide variety of industries. Types of content include but are not limited to: digital and print advertising, blog articles, website content, social media posts, whitepapers, case studies, speeches and presentations, eBooks, webinars, video scripts, PR, email marketing and more.

Skills:

  • Discussing the client's objectives, core message, and target audience.
  • Brainstorming copy ideas with other members of the creative team.
  • Writing and presenting multiple copy options as needed.
  • Modifying copy until the client is satisfied.
  • Proofing and quality checking all copy.
  • The copywriter is also accountable for checking that all the content is truthful and complies with compliance and legal requirements associated with each client.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy.
  • Driving the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication.
  • Understanding different language styles that appeal to various target markets.
  • Developing and maintaining a clear and consistent brand voice.
  • Experience with web markup language and search engine optimization.
  • Familiarity with commonly used style guides.
  • Work simultaneously on 5-10 projects based on current client deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing or other associated field.
  • 3-5 yrs. Experience writing for B2B and B2C marketing clients.
  • Creativity: You will need to create original work and develop ideas around your chosen themes.
  • Determination: Some assignments can take a long time to finish and be reviewed by multiple parties and turned around for many revisions.
  • Persuasion: You need to know how to write persuasively and, in some cases, defend your creative choices, backed by proper research.
  • Social Perceptiveness: You need to have your finger on the pulse of the industry you are writing about, so that copy is relevant and fluid.
  • Writing Skills: You need to write well: with proper tone, feeling, sentence structure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Proven ability to improve processes and add efficiencies.
