Our client, a Broadcast Network, is seeking a Broadcast Engineering Technician Marketing Coordinator to join the Network Operations team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for designing, sourcing, assembling and bringing to completion video post-production facility infrastructure elements
  • Manage programming and installation of peripheral equipment such as KVM systems, monitoring, HD-SDI routing, sync generators, Das, satellite receivers, house RF distribution, end point television and IP receivers
  • Assist staff with daily operational issues with equipment surrounding audio and video work stations, Adobe Suite, Avid, Pro Tools, StorNext and associated systems
  • Make, label and install multicore fiber optic cable harnesses and patching locations including installation of connectors for 16GB fiber channel and 10/40 Gb Ethernet
  • Make, label and install audio cabling harnesses including XLR, multi-pin breakouts, analog and AES adapters, embedders, debedders, patching and monitoring equipment
  • Make, label and install serial control cables (RS-232 and RS-422) along with necessary format and level converters, multi-pin adapters and routing infrastructure
  • Make, label and install RJ-45 ended CAT-6 twisted copper long run cables
  • Perform first echelon VTR maintenance to include PM, troubleshooting, alignment, board exchange and handling for depot maintenance


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Electronic Engineering or related field preferred; or Technical school training with electronics training and related experience
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in broadcast maintenance engineering
  • Must have an understanding of OS and user software installation, updates and connectivity on Mac work stations and PC servers pertaining to production and post production systems such as Adobe, AVID, Telestream, StorNext and NAS systems
  • Must have functional knowledge of LTO-based data backup systems, data tape rotation, archiving, restoring and maintenance of indexes
  • Possess an understanding of best practices for high quality audio and video including UHD, proper frame rates, interlace and scaling issues and frame rate conversion issues
  • Understanding of basic troubleshooting skills to identify and repair defective items such as bad power supplies, cabling issues, connectivity issues with Ethernet, audio and video, power issues and cooling problems
  • Must have functional knowledge of fiber channel switches, fiber zoning, SFPs and associated peripherals
  • Adept at Ethernet addressing, routing, switches, firewalls, DNS records and zones, VLANS and basic security
  • Understanding of hard drive replacement, RAID reconstruction, basic data recovery and service contract recordkeeping
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds without a server lift
