Global Retail/Ecommerce Client is seeking a Product Owner to join them on a contract engagement with the potential for perm placement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage development lifecycle with an iterative and incremental approach for multiple team
  • Analyze and Manage risk, dependencies, releases, and cross-team coordination
  • Understand end to end functional flows of a full stack application and maintain the product roadmap
  • Guide Product Manager and Development Team on effective backlog management and help create backlog items when needed
  • Identify and remove impediments and interruptions to team productivity
  • Facilitate recurring and ad hoc meetings within development lifecycle (Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Refinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective)
  • Define test cases and assist with manual testing duties (regression and sprint-level)
  • Help teams triage, investigate and resolve defects
  • Create meaningful Jira dashboards that provide real-time transparency into the status of sprints and projects (burndown, velocity, defect rates, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate strategy into prioritized requirements
  • Work with engineering teams to create requirements (epics) around key product areas and help prioritize the backlog based on these requirements
  • Develop measures for understanding product feature success

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing teams and projects in a software environment
  • Experience with customer engagement/customer facing roles
  • Strong communication and meeting facilitation skills
  • Experience in retail/logistics industry a plus
  • Jira experience a plus
  • Project Management or Agile certification a plus
