Our client, a financial technology company, is looking for an Application Developer (Migration) to join their team for a contract position with the possibility to extension!

Application Developer Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing production console applications, web applications, and web services
  • Develop a plan for migrating existing production applications to a newer environment.
  • Reverse engineer existing legacy production applications. Recompile legacy .NET applications to more current, supported .NET version. Implement upgraded application to newer environment.
  • Resolve production errors after migration
  • Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting of all production issues
  • Create, update and maintain production support documentation. (job steps, recovery procedures)
  • Turn over documentation to respective support teams for future support.
  • Coordinate testing with the Business unit.
  • Middleware configuration, administration, and support.
  • Frequent and routine contact with vendors, peers, managers, other Technology staff, Business clients.
Application Developer (Migration) Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree preferred.
  • 9-12 years experience, including large enterprise experience.
  • Development skills with .NET, VB.NET, C#, Classic ASP, VB Script, JavascriptAbility to read code and understand what happens without having to execute the codeSolid knowledge in MS SQL Server, SQL, SSRS, SSIS
  • Experience developing console applications, web application, web services
  • Well verse using and setting up applications in IIS.
  • Familiar with using and setting up components in Component Services.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues in the production environment without lower environments
  • Ability to set up applications with no packages on a server or no documentation.
  • Experience navigating Windows servers and modifying registry settings.
  • Experience working in a cross functional team environment to Troubleshoot issues.
