Our client, a kids media company, is seeking a freelance Art Director to join the team.

  • Produce big picture, 360 thinking, that will be executed across multiple platforms, from digital content to physical product and most importantly social video
  • Own the strategy and creative execution of brand architecture, brand positioning, value proposition, messaging across our portfolio of consumer touchpoints
  • Create beautiful visual solutions that meet brand and user needs by representing the brand via typography, photography, videography, color, illustration and other factors
  • Hands on in creating logos, mood boards and graphics for YouTube content.
  • Bring to life a branded look and feel that is recognizable and translatable across multiple platforms with elements and mood translatable to any medium, including video and products.
  • Lead the design efforts supporting physical and digital products as well as marketing.
  • Lead the design of content needs, products, and packaging with seamless user experience that also meet business objectives
  • Partner with VP of Branded Sales and Head of content to lead creative visual and thematic conceptualization of seasonal concepts including working with cross department stake-holders to develop a new concept that Content, Marketing, and Social can collaborate around to build 360 campaigns.
  • Create a visually appealing presentation templates that’s on brand for all departments to use.

Musts:

  • 6-8 years of experience as a Sr. Art Director at children’s media content or lifestyle brand with CPG experience as a big plus.
  • Portfolio showcasing brand campaign work with creative voice, and shows examples of strategic implementation of your design leadership working across a 360 platform.
  • Expert in visual conceptualization across Branding, YouTube video content, developing animated content, and creative marketing.
  • Able to create and establish loved consumer brands and associated new design language and editorial guidelines from scratch and set design standard in addition to scaling an existing set of standards
  • Your portfolio must show a consistent, brand-wide implementation of a recognizable, branded ID system.
  • You possess a true understanding of how Brand is Story and Story is Brand, always think of the big picture, and work to infuse branding and storytelling into every creative decision.
