Our client, a New York City based beauty retail company, is looking for a freelance Art Director / Designer to join their team in an ongoing part-time capacity. This role begins Monday, 12/3 on-site in NYC.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with the brand, digital and marketing teams to progress the overall visual communication of the brand.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the digital properties and communication including website, email, advertising, etc.
  • Lead the art direction of integrated creative from initial concept phase through planning shoots, art direction and running shoots, selects, edits, etc.
  • Direct the email marketing content and design in partnership with the marketing and merchandising teams.
  • While you won't need to code, you will to work with the development team to execute Squarespace email launches.
  • Other tasks may apply.

About you:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a design position with experience at the Art Director.
  • Have experience in the digital creative and marketing spaces of web, digital advertising, eCommerce.
  • Excellent conceptual and problem solving skills - must be able to create broad concepts based on the strategic idea and bring the idea to life across channels.
  • Have art directed for digital media.
  • Good at presenting and “selling” the worth of creative ideas, to influence decisions with interactive and cross-functional marketing stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Excellent skills with Adobe CS.
  • Solid portfolio showcasing your great design and digital thinking.
