Onward Search has an opportunity for a freelance Art Director that can start immediately onsite at our client's Richmond, Virginia office.
Work with other members of the art department to evaluate client or company needs, develop project strategies, and create visual elements for ad campaigns
Speaking with the client to set goals, provide updates, receive feedback, and present the final campaign
Conduct research to better understand brand objectives, target markets, and industry trends
Coordinating resources and with other departments to create a cohesive, effective campaign
Establish budgets and timelines and delivering the finished campaign within those parameters
Troubleshoot design, staff, or process problems as they arise
Ensure that all aspects of the campaign align with the needs of the client
Looking got ways to improve design department processes
Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
5 years of experience in an advertising agency environment (8 years of experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of the social and digital space is a MAJOR plus
Proficiency in the adobe software suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
A general knowledge of video edition software is a plus
An eye for detail and creative mind in order to create interactions that will delight customers.
A sharp eye for typography and visual design and can create beautiful experiences leveraging existing styles in new ways
Passion for user research and seek to elevate the customer’s needs above your own preferences
An adaptable communicator that can modify communication style to best fit a
wide range of audiences, including business partners and stakeholders
A team player who puts the interest of the team above your own
A positive attitude and open to/enjoys contributing
Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and manage time efficiently
